Today (8/23) I had my first real doctor visit anf my first ultrasound. They did my ultrasound first. The tech was so good with me. She did the internal ultrasound first and BAM! there is baby!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness, Me, David, and my mom (Sister decided not to go) all busted out crying. It was the most precious thing I had seen or experienced in my life. It's truly a miracle from God. This baby is already feisty like its Mommy. It was doing flips, jumping, kicking, and waving-- the tech had to keep pausing the screen just to get measurements. So sweet and amazing. David called it a mexican jumping bean, haha. The baby measured a little behind than I thought I was. I thought I was 12 weeks but the baby measured 10.5 weeks. Not sure if I ovulated late or if the baby isn't getting enough nutrition or if it's just small due to me being so petite. So now I'm not sure how to count myself... But its heartbeat was excellent at 175bpm. You could see its little heart beating. So amazing. It measured 1.4inches in length, too. So after the ultrasound, I saw my doctor and she examined me and went over labs and ultrasound. My bloodwork was normal and I am O positive (yay, no shots). She said she saw a small blood clot in my uterus but said she sees it in 50-75% of patients. She said it usually gets absorbed back in the body and she wasn't concerned about it. She also said I had a cyst on my ovary but it was really just supporting the pregnancy (not sure how but OK). My doctor also said for me to eat every 3 hours and more steak... NO PROBLEM! :) Overall, baby and I are well and happy. Can't wait to get my shopping on. To celebrate this little miracle of mine, David, my parents, and I are going to Golden Carroll tonight, yum!
We went official on Facebook today and I'm so overwhelmed by the amount of support, love, happiness, and prayers that is coming from our sweet news. WOW! Thank you so much. Sooo richly blessed!
Please keep praying for a smooth and healthy pregnancy and baby!

Week 8-10
Today (8/15) I am 11 weeks with just ONE week to go until I am out of the first trimester as well as until I hear my baby's heartbeat and see how it's doing in my belly. I am super excited but yet extremely nervous. I just want everything to be perfect with the baby. These past three weeks has been pretty good. But this past week my energy has came back, my nausea, breast tenderness, and backache has improved so much. My hips still really hurt and I find myself asking David to walk me around more. Walking helps a lot. I am craving anything that is edible and I stay extremely hungry. Week 9 I started feeling flutters in my stomach but thought it was way too early to feel the baby move. My mom and David has seen and felt it, too. I was reading that women who are skinny and with a flat stomach can feel movement sooner. My best friend's mom, who has thirteen kids, said you definitely can feel it at 9 weeks. It's amazing to know your baby is moving in your belly!
I have officially outgrown all of my pants! Saturday (8/11) was my birthday and my sweet momma bought me a lot of maternity clothes. Thank goodness! They're beautiful. It's weird wearing MATERNITY CLOTHES, haha.
I can't wait until my doctors appointment next Thursday at 10:00am. David, my mom, and my sister are going with me. It will be such an eventful and very nerve racking day....... Praying all is well! Please keep on praying. :)

Week 7
Today (7/25) starts my 8th week. Only four more weeks to go! Week 7 started out fine but slowly declined. The first part of the week I felt normal but from Sunday onward I felt like I've been hit by a train repeatedly.I can certainly feel the hormones fluctuating. I feel so bloated, so irritable, so tired, sick like I have a virus, my whole body hurts. I have no energy whatsoever. Goodness!!! And my size 0 and 1 jeans that usually falls off of me have now gotten snug and unbuttonable..... Uh oh! I have heard the 8th week is the worst week in your first trimester so lets go! Keep on praying!
First OB Appointment
Today (7/19) was my first OB appointment. I just met with the nurse practitioner. She went over a lot of information about pregnancy and procedures. According to my last period, I am 7 weeks 1 day today. I had so many questions and she answered all of them. Everything I'm experiencing is normal which makes me feel better! The also did my blood work and an urinalysis. I don't go back until August 23rd, a day after I turn twelve weeks...At that appointment I will see the doctor who will do a pelvic exam, a vaginal ultrasound, and we will hear the heartbeat. That will be such a big and eventful day-- and very nerve racking. August 23 seems so far away! Keep praying!!!!!!!!!!!

Two lines changes everything
July 8th at around 3:35pm, I peed on the famous stick just knowing it was negative like all the others since January. As David put me in my chair he would not let me see the test and he was acting weird. After a minute or two he called my mom in there and asked what she thought. My mom said "Yep". I busted out crying! Two lines. I couldn't believe it. I flat out boo-hooed. David, my daddy, my mom, and my sister, who was on the phone, all cried. So it is official, I am PREGNANT!!!
I've been feeling fine overall. I have been so exhausted, taking naps and going to bed at 8 or 9 every night. My back and hip has been hurting so has my head but nothing major. I haven't experience much morning sickness, just some indigestion/acid reflux. I am so excited and feel so blessed. However, I'm so nervous about the first trimester. I want it to go by fast. I just have to keep reminding myself of this verse: "I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him." 1 Samuel 1:27 Please pray with us for a smooth and healthy pregnancy and baby! I have my first OB appointment Thursday (7/19).
The three tests I took within a 16 hour time period. I couldn't believe it. |
